A pair of universal brackets for securely holding medical equipment at a DIN rail

The universal adapter model 4460 is used for quick and secure loading of medical equipment onto a Din rail in compliance with EN ISO 19054:2006 (Rail systems for supporting medical equipment) in ambulance vehicles.

The device is connected to the adapter with screws. A detachable connection to the DIN rail is created by a knee lever mechanism which can be locked and unlocked quickly. A single adapter can carry up to 10.5, a pair of adapters up to 22.5 kg.

The device was tested successfully in dynamic crash tests according to DIN EN 1789 with 10 g hence it is possible to keep medical equipment attached while driving. Different vehicle mountings for medical equipment can be attached to the universal adapter by using adaption plates which enables universal usability. The universal adapter can be attached directly at a suitable DIN rail of a stretcher and stay there even while the vehicle is in motion. This makes it possible to transport comprehensive medically equipped stretchers because allocating devices while inside the vehicle is no longer necessary.

Tested according to EN 1789 with 415x300x160 mm and 10.5 kg. Each Adaption for medical equipment must be tested individually for EN 1789 compatibility.
• The universal bracket 4460 creates a port to all DIN rails in compliance with DIN/EN/ISO 19054 and is used as a basis for different modular adaptions.
